Our story

 

Hound Heart Collars was set up by Elaine with the help of her two dogs - Carlos and Archie. Having made donation collars for the wonderful Pawsome Auctions to raise funds for charity, we thought, why not make these for everyone to enjoy! We haven’t looked back and enjoy being part of the incredible animal rescue community.

Every product is handcrafted here in Scotland from a variety of materials. Each one is of a practical, yet comfortable, high quality standard. We make regular donations of items to our many supported dog charities.

  • Galgos Del Sol

    The Galgos del SoL Centre houses over 250 dogs in multiple kennel blocks with indoor/outdoor access, running water bowls, and much more. Volunteers even have a place to stay. GDS strives to provide the very best for the dogs while they are waiting to be adopted into forever homes.

  • Hope for Podencos

    A breed specific Podenco Rescue Centre based in Albacete, Spain. Our mission is to RESCUE, REHABILITATE and REHOME Podencos of all types. From tiny puppies to golden oldies, the injured and the unwell… They are all welcome.

  • GPAC

    Over 5,000 greyhounds have found into forever homes across Atlantic Canada. GPAC also partners with groups that rescue galgos and podencos in Spain to find the homes they deserve. With the help of volunteers, a growing number of galgos and podencos make the long trip to join the GPAC family.

  • Lurcher Link

    We help Lurchers, both through Lurcher Link rescue itself, and by acting on behalf of other rescues, dog wardens, vets, pounds and the public. Many Lurchers are destroyed because pounds and rescues are full. People are looking for Lurchers to rehome so we act as a "Dating Agency" for them, finding the right dog for the right family.
